The Milatron herbal vape by Tronian is, at its core, defined by its price. Given the higher prices for most vapes (the popular Mighty is a cool $349 and other vapes aren’t much less), the Milatron is defined by its $109 price tag. The best part? It works well, is actually nicely designed, and punches well above its weight.

The device is dead simple. You put your herb in the top and press the button. You can set the temperature and time – it’s 180 degree Celsius and 240 seconds by default – and then wait. The heating chamber gets up to temp in 25 seconds and the result is some well-toasted herb that is easy to draw and surprisingly pleasant.

There is a simple setting mechanism that lets you go up to 240°C. The kit includes two screens and a packing tool along with a little brush. It charges via USB-C and contains a 2300 mAh battery.

And, to be honest, that’s it. This little dynamo just works. I used it a bit and got some nice plumes off of a nicely packed bowl resulting in an excellent experience. The OLED screen is very readable, the whole kit is easy to use, and the results are surprisingly pleasant.

The Milatron comes with a one-year warranty but I doubt you’ll use it. It’s rugged, small, and very usable and, at $109, it’s definitely worth a look. You can check out the product page here.
