In a great story by Outside we meet Jim Harris, a partially paralyzed mountaineer who took mushrooms at a concert and was able to begin moving his legs again.

Harris was a mountaineering instructor and adventure photographer who was paralyzed from the chest down after a snowkiting accident in 2014. To his surprise, he was able to pick up his right foot and pull it back towards his butt, something he had not been able to do before.

After this experience, he was able to make a recovery that seemed impossible before, and now he is able to walk with just a cane.
